On behalf of all of everyone affiliated with Coming Out From Behind The Badge and COFBTB Publications, I wish you a very Merry Christmas and peaceful holiday season.  If you are working on the street or inside, I hope you are safe and sound.

2009 has been an incredible year in many ways.  So many people have struggled for a wide variety of reasons.  For me, it’s been a year filled with silver linings.  We’ve also been fortunate to celebrate several successes including the formation of our “Out To Protect” Scholarship Program.

In 2010, we will bring you a one-hour radio show special about how GLBT law enforcement personnel are becoming more visible.  We also hope to have enough stories to publish the next edition of “Coming Out From Behind The Badge.”  No matter what the year brings, we will be here to support you and the many amazing members of law enforcement, fire service, and EMS profession who happen to be gay, lesbian, bi-sexual, and transgender.
